Mindfulness

"Mindfulness... for Mormons?"
Targeted for an LDS audience, this workshop is designed to help you better understand and use the principles of compassionate awareness and meditation.  In a relaxed, not pressured atmosphere we will explore how "mindfulness" can...

Help you feel more alive.  Stepping out of auto-pilot and being more aware of your present experience allows you to appreciate and enjoy your life at a deeper level.

Build self esteem.  Compassionate self-awareness can help you understand yourself better and have more self-acceptance.

Increase your insight and agency.  Interrupting knee-jerk emotional or behavioral reactions allows you to recognize interpersonal and emotional patterns, which gives you more freedom to thoughtfully choose your responses.

Help you manage your mood.  When you don't fight or feed negative feelings, they naturally melt away.  When you stop trying to force positive feelings, they will more easily arise.

Deepen your LDS spiritual practices.  By tuning-in to the present moment you are better prepared to be aware of spiritual promptings and move beyond guilt-based obedience.
